How does Virtual Bookkeeping work?
It’s easy. We promise.

The first step? Our signature onboarding phone call. This block of “getting-to-know-you-and-your-business” time is spent carefully, and methodically, helping you understand our process and helping us to understand YOURS.

During this time we go over your banking information, set you up on QuickBooks Online if needed, explain how to transfer information to us, your expectations of team members, learn about critical relationships you have with key vendors, customers, and employees, and review of important financial deadlines and calendar dates.


Software?

What software/programs do you use?
We are experts in QuickBooks Online – in fact we are a QuickBooks Online Certified ProAdvisor. The great thing about using a cloud based software application is it doesn’t matter if you use Mac or Windows QuickBooks Online works with any device that has a web browser and an Internet connection. Yes, we know there are other options out there, but we focus on what we do best. QuickBooks! QuickBooks! QuickBooks!

Do I need to buy the software?
On Track exclusively uses QuickBooks Online (QBO for short).

Like most major software apps, QBO requires a monthly subscription which our clients pay for directly, but we can get you a great deal on the monthly subscription.

For new clients, or clients migrating over to QBO, we will set you up with an account. If you are currently using QuickBooks Online, you can grant us access and we can walk you through that process!

Why should I hire a bookkeeper and why should it be On Track Bookkeeping?
It’s simple. You want peace of mind that only comes from working with a competent business and professional people. We are the right fit if you:

How much does it cost?
We bill $50 an hour for ongoing monthly bookkeeping services.
We charge $100 an hour for training and troubleshooting. The price is dependent upon the scope and complexity of the project.

There are minimum charges for all of our services: 6 hours per month for monthly bookkeeping and 4 hours for consulting work.
Unused time cannot be rolled over from month to month or project to project.

I saw a bookkeeper on Craigslist that was a lot cheaper. Why so expensive?
This may sound a little harsh, but bear with us. There is NOTHING more expensive than a bad bookkeeper.

The truth is we are probably as time-efficient as humanly possible. But it is true; you can hire someone cheaper than us. But you will likely pay for twice as much time, and end up with shoddy work.
